The range and possibilities of photographic safaris on offer in Zambia is impressive. Many visitors to Zambia know what they want - high quality wilderness and a sense of exclusivity. With your going on Safari in South Luangwa National Park you have made the right choice.
Viewing mammals is generally better in the dry season, as the sparse vegetation makes visibility easier and the animals congregate around water sources. Early mornings and late afternoons are the best times to go out. However, the wetter, green season offers a totally different perspective of animal life and most often you are rewarded with views of the "youngsters".
Whether you are on an organised safari by one of the lodges, or opt for a more budget possibility to self-drive in your hired Personal Touch car, please don't be rushed and have respect for the environment you are in. No chasing, scaring or annoying animals please! And please do not litter.

Can you imagine an image of antelopes, giraffes, hippo,
crocodiles, African Fish Eagle, possibly include some elephants and stunning
scenery? Keep that thought!
Now imagine feeling your total body immersed in scented
water, while the cares and tensions of the day float away, leaving a wonderful
feeling of well-being. Your experience continues with a full body massage
therapy and an all natural Touching Facial of your choice to complete your
Safari of a Lifetime!
Emphasis at the Bush-Spa is on the African experience, whereas all treatments are based on the amazing therapeutic ingredients this continent has on offer. In the selection of products they confirm their commitment to create a truly unique African Spa journey for guest with a discerning appetite for natural beauty and true natural experiences.

Our Personal attention is offered in safari activities, but we strongly recommend expanding your views. South Luangwa and its villages around have so much more to offer for the visiting tourist. True Zambian traditions are often neglected when visiting the area, but with other cultural opportunities, The Personal Touch provides complementary services in the vicinity of the park and with the hire of any of our cars your choices to explore the park and the villages around it are unlimited.
Kawaza Cultural Village is an unique example and a real inspiration to other communities looking to set up and operate sustainable tourism enterprises based on their culture. The villagers involved in providing services to guests all receive a monthly salary, and any profit that the village generates is ear-marked for community development projects, funding school places for HIV/AIDS orphans, providing for the needy and elderly in the village, and in improving the facilities at Kawaza Basic School.
Other self-drive or transfer possibilities include visits to various community projects within the vicinity of the park, be it for volunteers assisting Project Luangwa or S.L.C.S. or individuals wishing to experience more of the real Africa!
